TONIGHT - Public Forum on Energy Issues with John Larson

If you missed last week's meeting of the US Select Committee on Energy and Global Warming at Hartford's Mark Twain House, here's another chance to find out more about US energy policy as it develops:

United States Congressman John B. Larson
Will Hold a Public Forum on Energy Issues

East Hartford Town Hall
Council Chambers
740 Main Street
East Hartford, CT

Monday, August 4, 2008
5:30-7:30 pm

Poll after poll shows that energy will be the most important issue on voters’ minds this election. The American people want congress to tackle the rising cost of gas and oil and they want long term solutions to our looming energy crisis. Congressman Larson will lay out the debate that occurred on this important issue in Washington. He will talk about the policies that came to the floor including oil speculation, increasing domestic production and releasing oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. He will take questions and also talk about where the debate goes from here and what progress is likely to be made when Congress returns to Washington in September. All members of the public are invited to attend.

For more information please call Congressman Larson’s Hartford office at (860) 278-8888.
