I loved the suggestions on this survey. I recently moved to West Hartford and was wondering if a recycling committee exists. Does anyone here know of one?
Thanks Kate. We don't know that a recycling committee exists per se, but several of us on SWH are especially interested in helping the town reduce its contributions to land fills and step up recycling efforts. We'd like to track and report the monthly tonnage of recycled & unrecycled waste, to raise people's awareness and get them to recycle more. WH Public Works has reported these numbers recently over the list serv - a great first step.
